Scott's Family

Scott and his younger sister were born in Vancouver, Canada. At the age of two, Scott and his family moved to Santa Barbara, California, where Scott grew up. Scott's family loves the sun and spends a lot of time at the beach walking, collecting jars of beach glass, and surfing.

Scott's home has always been a place of learning and creativity, and his parents still have their kids' childhood art hanging on the walls of their home. They are a close, affectionate family, even from across the globe. Scott's parents live in Santa Barbara, his sister lives with her husband and two sons in Virginia, and his half-brother lives with his wife and their son in Seattle. Together, we have taken trips to Calgary, Vancouver, New York, and Washington D.C., we have hosted them in Salt Lake City, and we have spent a lot of time together in Santa Barbara over the holidays. Scott's family has a wonderful ability to stay connected and be there for each other despite any physical distance. While we endured our challenging hospital experience, Scott's mom, sister, and dad got on a plane to be near us and show support.

Peter and Brooklyn love their grandparents and love to send homemade surprises and pictures to them in the mail. Maren and George get excited when their hear the ring of facetime. There's always a loving face at the other end. Scott's mom is the kind of grandma who gets down on the floor with the kids, always brings new books and craft projects, and always has a song on the tip of her tongue. Our kids love spending time with their aunts and uncles, and they adore their cousins. We love to stay connected to all of Scott's family members through facetime, visits, and surprise packages.
